Parent volunteers are the heartbeat of our band program. If you’re a band parent, we’d love for you to jump in—it’s not just rewarding, it’s genuinely fun!

Sure, band is an incredible experience for the students, but it takes a team of dedicated parents to keep things running smoothly. Volunteering is a chance to be part of the action, meet other awesome parents, and cheer on these talented kids up close.

Plus, your involvement shows your student you’ve got their back and inspires them with the value of giving back. Come join the fun—you’ll be glad you did!

Volunteer Communication & Support

To help families stay connected and informed, parents will be invited to section-specific groups within the band app. These groups provide an easy way to receive updates, ask questions, and connect with other families throughout the season. Each group is led by dedicated Parent Section Leaders who serve as a resource and point of contact for their section.

As we prepare for the 2026–27 marching band season, Parent Section Leaders will be reaching out to each family to introduce themselves, answer questions, and learn more about your availability, interests, and preferred ways to support the program. These conversations help ensure that every family feels welcomed, informed, and comfortable with volunteer opportunities.

During marching band season, volunteer responsibilities rotate by section, with each section typically serving approximately once every three weeks. A variety of volunteer opportunities are available to fit different schedules, interests, and comfort levels—including some tasks that can be completed from home.

Volunteer schedules are available through the band app, allowing families to plan ahead. Together, our students, directors, families, and volunteers create the positive, supportive environment that makes the Peachtree Ridge Band program such a special experience.
