PRMB Band Manager

Overview

The PRHS Marching Band is excited to introduce a new Band Manager role under the Band Leadership Team (BLT) umbrella. Band Managers are essential members of the program, ensuring smooth operations at rehearsals, games, and events. Up to four band managers will be selected for the 2025 season.

 

Number of opportunities: 

  • 4 total - Min 2 people per practice

Responsibilities

  • Attend rehearsals Monday–Thursday, 2:45–6:00 PM.
  • Set up and maintain the water tent at practices and games.
  • Provide basic first aid (Band-Aids, ice packs, etc. – no medical procedures).
  • Support directors and staff with day-to-day needs.
  • Model professionalism, dependability, and teamwork at all times.
  • Assist BLT with major projects and events, such as:

    • Senior Night
    • 8th Grade Night
    • End-of-Season Party
    • Social media updates
    • HEART awards
    • Taste of the Ridge
    • Other special projects as needed

Qualifications

  • Open to PRHS students in good academic standing (grades 11–12).
  • Dependable, responsible, and punctual.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Positive attitude and willingness to help in any situation.
  • Interest in leadership, event planning, or band support (musical experience not required).

Expectations

  • Band Managers are expected to attend all scheduled rehearsals and events unless excused by directors. There should be a minimum of 2 band managers at each practice
  • Failure to meet attendance or responsibility requirements may result in dismissal from the role.
  • Band managers will report to the Band Board & Directors

Application Process

Interested students must complete the following:

  1. Application Form
    • Name, grade, and contact information. Open only for 11th & 12th grades
    • Teacher/mentor reference (optional but encouraged).
  2. Interview with members of the Band Leadership Team and Band Directors.
  3. Selected applicants will be announced before the start of band camp.
